  6. The one in front, sideways, with the violet plastic: are you sure that’s an electrolytic capacitor? It looks like a double-layer one.

  8. Shower thought, for safe storage of caps to ensure you know they’re discharged could you just solder the legs together then desolder them when you need them?

    Whether it’s worth the effort is another argument that I’m going to neglect with this question though 😉

  9. Electrolytics are probably the least reliable components. Why would you want to save used ones when new ones are readily available?
