  6. I have seen a similar setup before on an amateur project (~ 500 W), it worked great until it didn’t.

    A clamp or a retention bar would have been preferable, but it seems they had other priorities.

  7. they may be rivet style screws. I’ve seen them before and driving the right sized hex key and unscrewing them may work. American Power conversion used that as their predominant method of attaching to heatsinks.
