This blows my mind when you actually look at them side by side. How much better the dielectrics got both reducing the area required for a given capacitance and preventing breakdown.
Also, yes I know they’re 450V rated. No I’m not using them as the replacement. The 500V ones won’t be much larger, and certainly not the size of that can!
I don’t expect the newer smaller one to last as long as old one though.
