  2. When I was around 4 (more than 60 years ago), my father would connect a microphone to his scope, and let us talk into it and watch the waveforms. I still have the microphone.

  8. I kinda get it. The scope has more buttons and dials! Also, I love that solder sucker. Expensive but worth every penny!

    I have video from 20 years ago of my daughter talking to grandma using the mouse as an earpiece, we dig it up every so often and still laugh.

  19. She’s just trying to figure out why the internal oscillator is 0.01Hz off frequency.

  20. Serious question: does an oscilloscope as a separate part still make sense? I mean, is there a “software-defined radio” equivalent for oscilloscopes where you simply connect it to the computer?

  21. Just keep her away from the ground clips. One wrong move will short everything connected to earth ground.. even powered off.
