This transitor is reaching excess of 140 degrees Fahrenheit on the low voltage signal side of my late 90s kenwood receiver/amplifier. Nothing bad is happening, no burn marks, but it’s smell is certainly a smell im used to smelling with burning electronics. Temp read from a multi meter probe off the heat sync.

Should i worry?
It’s way above working temps. Gonna get dead. Check components connected to it.
140*F is hot for sure, but not out of the range of normal for power semiconductors. Whether that’s normal for this circuit or not. I can’t say.
