I just use a cheap helping hand and my soldering station has build in fume extraction. But led light is a great idea. Might just copy that. Might leave out the magnifying glass though as I’m near-sighted 😉
Reminds me of the hobby creek panavise helping hands accessory. It was a bit expensive but it’s built like a tank, and works beautifully with the panavise. I think that model is discontinued/sold out but they have other similar products.
Whatever works, I used to place a roll of solder on my pcb to keep it from moving.
Those “third hand” tools never worked for me, I’ve junked two of them that I had with me for 20 years and just bought a small vise.
Gator clips are horrible when soldering wires, they just mangle the ends with nasty bite marks.
But everyone is different, my younger days, I used to love panavise, but nowadays soldering a board floating off the table doesn’t cut it for my boards.
To each their own!
Oh, a fan without filter in front or behind is just distributing the fumes around as-is. Get some fan guard grills, with appropriate standoffs, and cut and wedge a square filter of the same size as the fan between the two grills.
No carbon air filter?

Oh, I really like this. I 3d printed a solder extractor and it’s still a bit of a pain to get it close enough to work effectively.

Sorry to ask. English is not my main lang. What’s the name of the blue squiggly tubing?
Very cool idea! I’m gonna add a leftover computer fan I have laying around onto my helping hands

Consider adding heat shrink over clips, to prevent shorts if circuit is powered, and also not to scratch it.
