Is Cuckoo’s Egg a thrilling book?. Seen it a few times on e-book. You never know if a book will capture or the immerse you. I wonder if it holds up since it was wrote 1984
Holy cow. I have had one of those tubes sitting in a desk drawer for years! I was thinking I would do something with it “one day”, but never got around to it.
Mind if I use your design to make my own?
Any thoughts on putting a color filter in front of the VFD to increase contrast?
Love it! I still have the ice tube clock I got from adafruit years ago. Broke the VFD after an unfortunate drop off a shelf so I got a lot of 5 IV-18 tubes. Been thinking about making an updated version
This was the first time designing a PCB for me. Took me a couple tries, but it all worked out in the end.

That’s a really clean and pretty build.
Your manual is fantastic. It’s better than 80% of the manuals that come with commercial products from China. Hats off to you for that.
I love VFD clocks!
Congrats on a nice build.
Does this mean we are back to posting clock builds? If so I better make another to catch up 🙂
