man i haven’t anything about this thing in years, didn’t know it was still being worked on.
>Are there any other CPU kits like this
the 6502 is one of the only CPUs you can feasibly do this with, because it was originally designed to save as many transistors as possible, so compared to a lot of other popular CPUs it doesn’t have a lot you need to replicate on a PCB.
The Z80 is also a popular chip, but has more than twice the amount of transistors. so the resulting PCB would be a lot larger or more dense, and either way just more expensive and slower (and the Z80 is already a very slow CPU).
Are there any other CPU kits like this? This is not available but looking for a soldering kit to create something like it. Any others out there?

Ok. Now I need one.
what does transistor scale mean? i mean the 6502 has transistors. is this a name given to an arbitrary value?
I’ve seen this in person at VCF-West a few times. Still waiting to be able to buy one, even if its likely to cost quite a lot.
