  2. When I was in college (almost 40 years ago now), I wire-wrapped a board using that text-to-speech chip, with a SASI interface, to give my Lobo Max-80 a voice. Worked pretty well, but I had a hard time putting together the phonemes to get good pronunciations. I remember “laundry” was a tricky one.

  4. I remember saving my loot and buying 1 red L.E.D. which cost a couple of dollars. That was when the hourly wage was around $1.
