They burn skin so fast . Don’t let your reflexes catch it if it gets knocked out of its cradle. Don’t let ya pinky set down on the part near the handle….still hot…..
Gotta respect that thing. I keep mine in an open area to the left of me (im right handed) and in its cradle when not in use. Then wait a good 25 minutes before packing it up. It’s like my cooking burner I use weekly, gets hot fast and cools slow.

As a person that broke 4 bones the worst part will be bumping in when u sleep. One of those dog cones that go over their head would be handy. I used popsicle sticks as a splint to my broken finger and then stuffed my hand in a large fast food cup taped onto arm so wouldn’t roll over onto it
It was a 60w iron too so it hurt like a bitch
