Where / how did you found circular (LCD? seems like Sharp’s memory LCD based on color / reflection)?
How can it be addressed (just like normal LCDs but there are just no pixels at the corners)?

Look at how well pebble did. There has been a massive hole in the smartwatch market since pebble was mismanaged to death.
A little bit of effort on your part and this will be a huge success.
Also, it may not click with the non-DIY market but I adore the see through case. Swatch actually has a very popular see through watch right now as well so it might be a good option.
Just don’t hire way too many devs and then go bankrupt like pebble did.
I’ve been looking for a decent smartwatch for ages. I hate the idea of having to take it off at night to charge it so if it lasts a month without charging, I’d be so happy with that!
When/if you start selling it, please put another post on here and sign me up for two of them.

My Pebble time steel is still my trusty “silent” alarm with almost a week of battery life. It’s a shame the app wouldn’t function with my new phone 😔 Fitbit Versa is absolute garbage in comparison.
I like the asthetics… do a version minus the smart watch capabilities just make it thinner. I absolutely hate thick watches.
Awesome work. What kind of PCB antenna are you using for this? Some inverted PIFA antenna like on the ESP32 modules?
