I’m torn between this being an amazing piece of working history and this being horrendous. Maybe both.

Believe it or not they actually had wiring diagrams..
At first I thought this was a drawer of spare components 💀
All these young whippersnappers complaining about how this circuit was assembled.
This was normal for several decades. And it’s a lot easier to troubleshoot than a lot of you seem to believe.
I’d much rather repair this than some multi-layer board with SMD components crammed onto both sides.
