  1. This is just a crude transistor level Triangle & Square wave voltage controlled oscillator circuit. It uses a relaxation style oscillator (the two right-most NPN BJTs form the Schmitt trigger) and a current mirror to attain the symmetry of the charge discharge current to form a Triangle wave as opposed to a sawtooth wave. Lastly, a voltage is applied to the base of a PMOS transistor to create a variable charge/discharge current source. A lower voltage increases the charge/discharge current which increases the frequency of the oscillator. So far I have managed to get this circuit to oscillate at up to about 45 MHz cleanly & stable (and ~120 MHz with some pretty severe distortion/instability)
