  1. The model name is Blakiston Fish Owl, and it’s designed by Katsuta Kyohei. It took me a bit over 17 hours, paper was huge and it gave me back pains lol. Hope you guys will enjoy it!

  2. Brain is glitching, I can barely fold a paper lol

  3. I wouldn’t doubt there’s someone out there who would pay good money to own this. Put it online and see if it flies. Pun intended. 🙂

  4. Now it’s not something I’d ever find myself doing but this is exactly what r/nextfuckinglevel is about! Doesn’t matter what you’re doing or what it is it just needs to be at a clear next level, this is certainly it!! Very nice bro

  5. This is amazing. I once saw a doc that mentioned people that do insane origami ususally make their own paper. Was wondering if you do that as well as this is some serious top notch work

  6. My man out here looking like [Orson Welles in The Third Man](https://scrapsfromtheloft.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/orson-welles-the-third-man-e1600457967149.jpg).

Edit: and the owl is cool as hell

  7. Nice. Also post this in /r/SuperbOwl

  8. Origami are insane, my dumbass cant even make a paper plane, i literally cannot understand how people do this. You’re insane man, that’s beautiful

  9. Good lord i pray that it never gets wet. Standing by that river in diamond dust snow had me fucking nervous

  10. Cool owl. Why do I feel the owl has a sneaky secret message in it?! Got that neighborhood watch/ Borris vibe and I fucking LOVE it.

  11. Wow da ce tare ti-o ieșit!!! Bravo maii!!!

  12. You look like a hogwarts hitman

  13. cool fold. also, dark city called….

  14. You exactly look like someone who I imagine folds an owl out of tissue paper, and I say this with the utmost respect. You’re the man 👊

  15. nice fedora *tips hat

  16. How vain does one have to be to post themselves in r/nextfuckinglevel?

  17. You totally look like the guy to do this

  18. When I read the post title, I thought OP was taking credit for designing the model, and most people scrolling through Reddit will think the same thing.

It’s best to give credit where it’s due by putting Katsuta Kyohei’s name somewhere in the title (not just the description).

The Origami subreddit requires this for a reason, because it’s easy to overlook the true artists of origami, which are the designers who painstakingly diagram their models for our enjoyment.
